Tuna Pitch - chromatic tuner App Reviews

Just what I need

As an inexpensive app, this is eyecatching, though I had to wrestle with which guitar et al. tuner on the app store because some look more stylish. I made the choice to get this because it is a chromatic tuner, not ONLY a pitch pipe; also it is relatively the cheapest tuner that includes other instruments (personally used the ukelele tuner already, and may use the banjo tuner soon) alternate guitar tuning. The program is very responsive and registers all notes exactly; I tested the tuner with my E tuning fork and it was perfect.

Messed up categories in iTunes apps

Downloaded update and all the categories in iTunes apps now fail to function.

Best tuner Ive used...

iPhone or otherwise.

using it for a few months and good

Using this now for a few months to tune cellos and it works for me.

Puts all Other tuners to shame

Ive tried many other tuners, many of them paid apps. This free tuner puts all others to shame. Best configurability, best display best sensitivity.

a nice tuner

Its interesting to help the tuning of the claw hammer banjo!

Yes

Beautiful interface love it.

Perfect, works exactly as described!

Amazing software, highly reccomended.

Great!

I love this app! Blows away any of the other tuners on the app store. Just as accurate as my inline Korg Pitchblack!

Not for pianos

Cannot handle stretch, inharmonicity, or the complexities of piano tuning. OK for guitars, winds, etc.... just not for pianos.

App needs better settings panel

Love the app but the persistent reminder that I dont have a mike plugged in to my iPod touch is unnecesary and annoying. I personally use the app to get me in the right pitch range for tuning a guitar, violin, ukelele & banjo in pitch pipe mode. Should be able to simply tap the notice to make it go away or provide a setting to dissable the mike tuning feature for those that dont have built-in mikes. The settings would also be a lot nicer with a tumbler style selector. I hope to see the notice go away in a future update. Otherwise, nicely done.

Great app worth every penny

I bought this app instead of a 20 dollar electronic tuner and it works grea t. I m not sure what to do with the micriphone idea but listening to the pitch and tuning your instrument by ear is better for your musicianship.

Awesome for guitar I lost my other tuner today at practice but this is exactly like it 7 out of 5 stars

Love it!

Excellent. Got it while it was still free , would pay for it now. Now I have one additional tuner alongside my ca30 and mt9000 metrotune.

The best of the bunch?

Of all the tuning apps I tested, this one seemed to lock on to a pitch fastest, with equivalent or better accuracy.

Its Ok

Been using it awhile... Watching the ball go up and down is tricky - its almost TOO accurate to be really helpful. Paid a few bucks for it but now Im checking out others. ALSO, I have never been able to hear the pitch tones.

Great tuner! But...

It is way too sensitive. It takes forever to get it to go from +- 2 cents to spot on, and then when you double check the note youre no longer spot on. Still a great tuner, but Im shopping around for a less touchy one. Also, cant hear the pitches on the side.

Missing pitches

Wanted to tune by ear. But no sounds. Hopefully glitch is fixed

Very handy and accurate

This app is great! Quick, handy, and accurate.

Would be a lot better if

There was a tuning option for voice. The guitar and everything doesnt cover every note. if their was a voice option, we could see the exact note. or maybe a piano tuning setting? that would e nice too. thanks~
